What to See and Do in Maldon ...
Maldon has an extensive range of festivals and events throughout the year.
The best known are the Easter Festival and the Folk Festival.
Approaching it’s 135th year in 2012, the Easter Festival features a Scone Bake, to be seen to be believed Dancing in the Street, and an old fashioned Easter parade. Accommodation tends to be booked 12 months in advance, but we do keep a waiting list.
Other events include the Twilight Festival, the Maldon and Baringhup Agricultural Show and many others. A full listing of events is available here.
On March 10, 11 and 12th 2012 Maldon will host the inaugural Tarrengower Puppetfest. Click on the link for more information. www.tarrengowerpuppetfest.org.au
Aside from these big events Maldon is a lovely working country town in which to just “be.” All of our Cottages have big gardens and open fires and we try to accommodate late check-outs whenever we can. Many guests report that they enjoyed a wonderful break just taking the opportunity to “draw breath” in the peace and quiet. |
